Green Business Park
The Green Business Park is a joint project of EVAD Development Trust, Tredegar Development Trust and the Wales Sustainability Reinvestment Trust.
The project is in its first phase of development at Waun y pound, Ebbw Vale. The development will act as a hub for a number of community owned and managed organizations and businesses directly involved in recycling / reuse and environmental projects. Currently it is intended that Tidy Trev (Blaenau Gwent Community Recycling), a plastics autosorter, an anaerobic digester, starter units for social enterprise and office accommodation will be based in phase 1.
EVAD Development Trust are currently purchasing the 4.5 acre site from BGCBC (funding in place) and have a licence to occupy. They are setting up a joint company to manage the site owned 50/50 with WSRT. A firm of Architects are now engaged to develop a feasibility study on the whole project. Funding has been secured for the plastics autosorter and they are actively looking for funding for the remainder of the site.Total cost of overall project will be approximately £2 million
