Blaenau Gwent Rock School

If you have an interest in music then Rock School is the place for you!
Funded by the Arts Council Of Wales this successful project has been running since August 2008, and is open for all young people and community members in Blaenau Gwent. The Rock school currently has musicians who play guitar, drums, saxophone, keyboard, singing. Sound management can also be learned, rockschool members are also taught how to setup stage equipment safely and properly. Even if you don’t play a musical instrument you can come and learn how to manage a PA System and sound mixing desk, giving you the necessary skills to become a sound engineer.
In April-May 2009 Eleven members from the rock school were invited to Bytom in Poland to play a 20 minute concert in order to celebrate Poland’s 5th anniversary on entering the EU.
The RockSchool rehearses on a Wednesday evening at 4:30pm – 8.00pm at RTB’s Rugby Club in Briery Hill.
