Poland 2009
Musicians from across Blaenau Gwent travelled to Poland to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the country joining the European Union. EVAD, in partnership with the council, recently took 11 youngsters from Blaenau Gwent Rock School to Byrom, where they performed a 20-minute set on a professional stage in from of 1,200 people. Jenny Morgan, who was mayor of Blaenau Gwent at the time, accompanied the group. She added: “The young people have been fabulous ambassadors for Blaenau Gwent. They were all exceptional at the performance and it was something very special”
